Reflection :
Today's class material covered the challenges of
sorting through the abundance of information that we receive on a daily basis
and the importance of factual messages that enable readers to make informed
decisions or are engaging and pertinent. We also discussed how to determine
news value or "news judgment" by utilizing news elements and
understanding the audience.
We delved into the nature of news and distinguished
between facts and opinions, recognizing how opinions in the form of quotes
assist in bringing a story to life. Furthermore, we explored the significance
of accuracy, clarity, conciseness, and objectivity in news writing.
